The Urgent Paws virtual waitlist opens at 8:30am on open weekdays and closes at 8:30pm. WE ARE CLOSED WEDNESDAYS. The waitlist opens at 9:30am on Saturday and Sunday closes at 3:30pm. The waitlist may periodically close through the day as we reach capacity. If the virtual waitlist queue is closed during open hours of operation, please try back in one hour, or give us a call for additional guidance.

What To Expect
Step 1: Join Our Waitlist
Booking an appointment at Urgent Paws is easy and convenient. Please either call to request an appointment, or join our waitlist online. We also accept walk-ins for the things that cannot wait. Our team is ready to provide prompt and compassionate care for your furry friend.
Join WaitlistStep 2: Arrival at Urgent Paws
On the day your pet is sick, request an appointment online or give us a call. Clients will be put into a virtual queue and can wait in the comfort of their own homes. We will send you a text when it’s time to head over with your pet. When you arrive, our welcoming team will be ready to assist you. For urgent matters during our business hours, walk-ins are also welcome.
Step 3: Check-in Process
Once you arrive, our friendly staff will guide you through the check-in process. Be prepared to provide some basic information about your pet’s symptoms, medical history, and any concerns you may have.
Step 4: Consultation With Dr. Richard Dean
Your pet will be seen by our experienced veterinarian, Dr. Richard Dean. He will conduct a thorough examination, discuss your pet’s symptoms, and recommend necessary diagnostics or treatments. Estimates will be provided to all patients. Dr. Dean’s compassionate approach ensures your pet receives the care they need.
Step 5: Diagnostic Testing
If required, diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, or lab work may be conducted. Urgent Paws is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide timely and accurate results.

Based on the examination and diagnostic results, Dr. Dean will develop a personalized treatment plan for your pet. You’ll be informed about the recommended course of action, medications, and any follow-up care needed.
Step 7: Collaboration With Your Regular Vet
We believe in collaborative care. If your pet has a regular veterinarian, we will promptly share all diagnostic results and treatment information, ensuring continuity of care for your furry friend. Your Veterinarian will have records in hand by the opening of the next business day.

After your visit, we encourage you to follow up with your primary veterinarian, however we will provide guidance on post-visit care and any necessary rechecks if you prefer to stay with the same doctor for the issue.
